Position Overview
QoS
Networking, Inc. is looking for senior-level network/security consultants to fill
key roles in supporting customer networks. Join a qualified team providing
managed and professional services to major agencies and businesses in the
Capital Region and throughout
Essential Job Functions
§
Lead design
efforts and implement new configurations.
§
Install,
configure, and maintain network/security equipment including enterprise
firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching.
§
Resolve critical
problems for multiple data centers; research solutions to prevent new problems
from occurring.
§
Present input in
meetings and explain network security technologies and configurations to
customers and coworkers.
§
Document,
monitor, upgrade, and support new and existing network/security configurations.
§
Interact with
customers on a daily basis.
§
On-call for 9-1-1
situations.
Qualifications
§
Experience
supporting Enterprise networks with 500+users
§
Hands-on
installation and configuration experience with major vendor technologies
including:
-
Cisco Layer 2/3
switches
-
Cisco routers
-
Cisco firewalls/
security appliances
-
Nortel equipment
-
Juniper or Check
Point firewalls
-
LAN/ WAN
routing, switching
§
Strong knowledge
of Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting
§
Strong knowledge
of protocol analysis via sniffer tools
§
Strong
analytical skills; effective interpersonal and communication skills
§
Cisco experience
preferred
§
Design
experience required
